Introduction

Our team of dedicated staff, numerous parent helpers and community volunteers share and enjoy the privilege of working with 85 wonderful children.

The school has been re-organised into four morning classes and three afternoon classes from September 2016, due to rising numbers, with each class benefitting from qualified learning support assistants.

Children with specific individual needs also benefit from working with trained learning support assistants either in the classrooms or in targeted small groups, sometimes in other learning spaces. From September 2016,  Rebecca Thomas will be the school's SENCo ( Special Education Needs Co-ordinator ).

Kim Nicholls, Lowri Reid and Becky Thomas also join us each week to teach PE, Modern Foreign Languages and Music, respectively, across the school. Peripatetic teachers from the Music Service also visit the school offering regular instrument tuition to small groups, and there is a charge for this service.

Teresa Jackson, Karen Long, Ausra Zulyte, Glenda Jones  and Yulia Wardle are our lunchtime supervisors who ensure children enjoy a safe lunchtime and return to the classroom ready to continue learning for the afternoon.

Ausra Zulyte looks after our school site during both term-time and the holidays.

Children also enjoy excellent support from a team of caring parent and voluntary helpers who read regularly as part of our ‘reading team’ and who also assist with school events, after school activities and transporting children on school trips. Further support is also offered through FOSS ‘Friends of Sennen School’, who organise social events and fundraising activities and contribute many extras for the children.
