Online Safety

With the growing use of technology, it is vital that we teach our children to be safe online. In school we do this through bespoke, termly assemblies and our PSHE curriculum. We also deal with issues as they arise and support parents where necessary. Below is some information on the school's policies, and some information to support you in keeping your children safe online at home.

Safe use of ICT and modern technology by children

Please find useful links below outlining how children can use the internet and modern technology more safely. It also offers links to further information for parents.

Sennen Primary School also operates an 'Acceptable use of ICT' policy to ensure safe and appropriate use of Information Technology by all (see download below). We also follow best practice in seeking permission from parents for the use of children's images across a range of media.

Sennen School works closely with the South West Grid For Learning and our technology partners NTPAT IT support to ensure all equipment and up to date and our internet provision is safe and appropriately filtered for children's use.
Parent guides

National Online Safety has some great guides for parents about the various apps and hardware that children are using. The link to the page is below and some important guides have been downloaded for you.
