At Sennen School, we strive to nurture happy, confident, and curious children through a caring and inclusive approach. We genuinely care about every child, fostering a warm and supportive environment where all can thrive.
We are guided by the core values of being ready, respectful, and responsible—principles that shape the expectations and behaviours of our children, staff, and families alike.
Our passion for outdoor learning is at the heart of our curriculum, making full use of our unique and inspiring natural surroundings to enrich children's experiences and spark their imaginations.
We expect every member of our community (children, staff, governors, parents and visitors) to behave in an appropriate and courteous manner towards each other, to be polite, thoughtful and considerate. Our school is a learning community and nobody should prevent anyone else from being able to learn, work, play and enjoy being at school.
Our approach to behaviour is nurturing, restorative and supportive but with clear expectations of what is and what is not acceptable behaviour. Children need support in recognising emotions, behaviours and actions in order to learn from any mistakes made. We celebrate and recognise good behaviour through the use of praise, recognition and rewards.
